Making Tapas!
Today, our cooking skills were put to the test. In class, we learned about a variety of tapas. Students then had to create their own tapas. The goal was to create a tapa using their primary ingredient that was selected at the beginning of the course. Our ingredients include spices, bread, seafood, oranges, grapes, cheese, chocolate, olives, and rice. The winners of our master chef were Carson and Ryan.
In the afternoon, we made our way to the city and went Hestia Lucentum where we learned to make Tapas with Chef Jaime. We made Spanish tortillas, breaded Bacalao, and Morcilla with potatoes stuffed with mozzarella. It turns out, we are all pretty good cooks. We thoroughly enjoyed making and eating the tapas.
After the cooking lessons, we all had free time. Some students went to the beach, others went to the Santa Barbara Castle, and a small group made its way back to San Vicente del Raspeig.
