Machu Picchu...una de las siete maravillas del mundo moderno!!
Last weekend we experienced something that everyone had been waiting for....Machu Picchu. I was looking forward to this trip for a long time and I know that the students were as well. Although we had to take an 1 1/2 hour bus ride from Pisac to Ollantaytambo, then from there an 1 1/2 hour train ride to Machu Picchu...it was well worth it. This sacred place shows just how incredible the Inca were during there time. What made this trip even better was our tour guide, Danté. Danté was excellent! His explanations of the history of Machu Picchu were very clear and informative. I know that I've learned a lot and I'm sure our students did as well.
