Les chansons et la danse!
Today was busy, starting with French class in the morning and a cultural activity in the afternoon. The highlight was a visit to le Centre Occitan des Musiques et Danses Traditionnelles. We had the opportunity to see and hear instruments dating back to the 19th century, as well as learn some traditional songs and dances. The students showed off their singing voices and nimble feet (see videos below)! Not only did they sing and dance, but they learned lyrics in Occitan (an ancient language of the region, similary to a mix of French and Spanish).

It's been amazing to see the students' French improve, even in just a few short days. They have now completed two cultural activities, both led by native French speakers and communicated almost entirely in French! They should be very proud of how quickly they are progressing and excited for their language skills to continue developing.
