We took some time away from the Rhinos at Khama Rhino Sanctuary to do some community service in Serowe.  We visited Little Friends Day Care Center, a non-profit community-based organization, that focuses on integrating orphans and vulnerable children into the community.  This was an opportunity for us to spread some love and share some joy with the young ones of Serowe.  We started off with some ice breaker activities to warm everyone up and connections were made instantly.  From there, it was hands on outside for painting and inside the class room for coloring and drawing.  Just as much as the kids benefited from our day together, I think our students benefited more.  At the end of the day we came together to talk about the experience and many of our students left feeling warm inside wanting to go back for more fun.  Many of them reflected on how little one can have, yet be more happy then the one who has "everything."  The students all seem to re-analyze what true happiness really is.  Our discussion also opened up dialogue into understanding different cultures and value systems.  Our students are learning it all here in Botswana.  Now it is time for us to go catch our private flight into the Kavango Delta and turn National Geographic Wild into our reality!
