First Musical in London: & Juliet
A walk in the city, to visit the Monument, a commemoration of the Great Fire of London in 1666, led to the musical & Juliet after using the underground for the first time! We sang along to what if Juliet hadn't died at the end of Shakespeare's famous tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. Playwrights Max Martin and David West Read bring to the theater contemporary pop and early 2000s songs about romance, love, and women's empowerment. Afterwards students got to get autographs and pictures with the cast as the left through the stage door.
