Festival of the Virgen de Carmen in Pisac
Here are just a few of the pictures of folk dancers, horse-back riders, and processions that we enjoyed during the weekend...thought some of you would enjoy seeing a part of what the celebration is about. The festival lasts 4 days to honor the Virgen de Carmen...one of the biggest festivals in Pisac. The students enjoyed watching the processions, dances, music etc. A few of our girls were able to march in the main procession with their host families and one of our In The Community activities was to interview some of the dancers.
