Day 1 and 2 in Dublin
“Fáilte go Baile Átha Cliath"
After arriving yesterday morning, students checked into their rooms and got to know each other and their new city. We made the most of our first day despite the long travel days and took a walking tour of the city. Students visited some landmarks such as Dublin Castle and Temple Bar. We were able to see the city on a busy weekend, as Dublin were playing Kerry in the All-Ireland football Semi- Final. After the walk, we had dinner at the Brazen Head one of Dublin's oldest pubs. After dinner, it was finally time to head back to the accommodation and go straight to sleep after a busy day.
On the second day, students attended an orientation with CIEE and got to learn more about thier program, Dublin, and fun Irish slang. After the orientation, we had lunch together before going on a more detailed walking tour. Students were taken on a guided tour of Dublin's iconic sites such as Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral, and Grafton Street. We then had dinner at our accommodation before students were given an evening to relax or explore Dublin with their new classmates.
