Cocineros en Madrid! Cooking Day!
Last week we had the chance to learn many new skills! One of the most exciting skills we picked up was COOKING! We never knew how well we could flip a tortilla española! The students in Barrio C had the chance to make Salmorejo ( a cold tomato, garlic, and bread soup), tortilla española ( a potato omlette), Paella mixta (a famous rice dish from Valencia), and to top it off- we made a delicious Tarta de Santiago!
All students took turns participating in making each and every part of the meal from cutting, to stirring, seasoning and flipping- we did it all!
We are so excited to bring our new skills back to the USA and share with our friends and family!
Hasta pronto!
