Bernauer Straße
Berlin Wall Museum
On Friday, students toured Bernauer Straße where they explored the remains of the Berlin wall. Before the tour, they learned about the events leading up to its construction and the continuous additions made to prevent the frequent escape attempts to flee East Germany.
With storm clouds approaching, students gathered around the former inner wall and guard tower to peek into the former death strip. Although it started to rain, students were able to take a glance at the fascinating and devasting history through the remnants of the Berlin Wall.
