Behind the Scenes at The National Theatre
We have seen many performances during our time in London, but our visit to the National Theatre took us backstage and pre-show. Students got a first-hand look at everything from set design and construction to props and wig making. Because of the massive size and complexity of the theatre, with its 3 main stages, there are always sets being put up and taken down. There are also special storage and hydraulics for each stage so they can produce two shows at once in each space. It was an incredible experience that our students won't soon forget.
