Theatre Arts on London’s Stage

Time flies when you’re having fun, making friends and soaking up all the history and culture! We’ve been quite busy and definitely getting our steps in! We’ve adjusted to using the tube and the famous red double decker buses, though students have quickly learned there’s a lot of walking in London! Here’s an update of some of the things we’ve been up to outside of class time.

London has all the sites and we have been getting to see the classics! Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament and 10 Downing Street. We took a visit to the National Gallery at Trafalgar Square to view some of the most famous paintings in the world.

We saw Legally Blonde at Regent Park Open Air Theatre and we all had a wonderful time for this sold out production. We even met one of the cast members while waiting for a bus!

We went to Abbey Road and crossed the famous crosswalk where the Beatles shot their album photo all those years ago.

Speaking of the Beatles, the British Library houses a handwritten draft of their hit song “Hard Day’s Night” on the back of a birthday card. Students also saw the Magna Carta and the first folio from playwright William Shakespeare.
