Jude Peckinpaugh

Thailand
Hometown: Louisville, KY

Jude Peckinpaugh was a student with the CIEE Khon Kaen Development and Globalization program in Spring 2011. He later returned to intern for the program from 2014-2015. He comes from the bluegrass state of Kentucky, where he studied Sociology, Anthropology, and Environmental Studies at Transylvania University. As a student, he became involved in anti-mountaintop removal campaigns in Appalachia, and helped organize with local communities around these issues for several years.
Aside from the year he spent in Thailand, his life after graduating has mostly consisted of working with and developing trauma based programs for abused and neglected youth. Jude enjoys cycling, spending time in and around mountains, visiting communities, listening to folk music, and debating controversial topics.
