Hola/Hello!

For every person reading this, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am hoping to keep you updated on various adventures and experiences I will have in Spain this upcoming fall. First things first, my name is Lupe :)! Ever since high school, I have always written my name with a smiley face next to it. It feels like it is part of my identity in a way now. I am 21 years old but will be 22 when I arrive to Spain (I know everyone is singing Taylor's "22" song in their head right now, I know I did). I am from Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University with a major in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. Some of my hobbies include crocheting, reading (and falling in love with the fictional characters), listening to music, painting, and writing songs. 

Moving on! I am really excited to share my experiences with others, in hopes that I can inspire, reassure, or just humor others with my stories while in Spain!  Something I do whenever I go somewhere new is write a bucket list. An idea I was thinking of doing is writing my bucket list on here and whenever I complete one, write about it. What do you all think? I don't have anything on my bucket list now, but I don't arrive in Spain until September. So far, I am waiting to hear about my visa to be able to live in Spain for the program's duration. I think I will hear either this week or next week the latest.  The process for the visa was not too bad. It was more a waiting game than anything. I do want to thank all the group chats that were created throughout the summer, as everyone in them were really helpful with the visa process. Something that I learned throughout this process is not to overstress myself. It can be easy to get anxious during this process, but remembering there are all these people who are in the same boat as you really calmed my nerves and made me feel supported. 

That is all I have for now! I plan on writing at the end of August about packing, my feelings of leaving, and any resources that I utilized. Right now, I just plan on enjoying the last month of summer here with my family and friends! Thanks for reading!
