Media Landscape in Berlin
BERLIN, GERMANY
During this program, students will gain insight into how public broadcasting coexists with bold new digital platforms, and how Berlin’s multiculturalism influences media production and consumption. Every CIEE Faculty-Led & Custom program is a unique combination of high-quality academics and co-curricular activities and excursions that offer real-world experiences to enhance classroom learning.
Destination
Berlin offers a rich blend of history, innovation, and cultural diversity. As Germany’s capital and a hub for creative industries, Berlin is home to a dynamic media scene that spans traditional outlets, independent journalism, digital startups, and global tech players. The city played a central role in Cold War propaganda and post-reunification media evolution, making it a unique case study in how media shapes political and social narratives.
