Dakar, Senegal
Hometown: Sharon, MA

Rachel is so excited to be blogging for CIEE in Dakar, Senegal this summer! She will be a senior at Sharon High School in the fall.  Wherever she ventures to, Rachel can always be found with a novel in one hand,  a notebook and pen in the other, and an idea blossoming in her brain. Rachel's thirst to see the world has driven her on numerous travel adventures, and she hopes to eventually visit all seven continents! Rachel has been deeply committed to social justice since elementary school and continues to work  with organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League, and Razia's Ray of Hope during her free time. She also writes for her school's newspaper and is involved with a myriad of other writing and social-justice-related activities. She seeks to lead through her actions and create change through her words.
