My American Internship: Teboho S. of South Africa
Our "My American Internship" series features CIEE BridgeUSA participants who submitted entries to our photo essay contest. Teboho S. of South Africa served as a culinary intern at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
I'm Teboho, and I completed an internship with the prestigious Greenbrier resort. It offered a unique opportunity to immerse myself in diverse culinary cultures, share knowledge, gain friendships, and grow professionally. I thrived with my strong work ethic, adaptability, and dedication to culinary excellence.
Over the years, I have gained the relevant academic qualifications. I always ensure applicable safety hygiene procedures are followed, and I am always on the lookout for new ideas and inspiration to create unforgettable memories. It keeps me adventurous and happy to know more trends of global cuisines.
Being at the state fairs in West Virginia was a great experience and so much fun. I also took a trip with my colleagues and friends to Las Vegas: Experiencing the Eiffel Tower and seeing Caesar's Palace at night were a few unbelievable moments. I wouldn't trade it for any experience.
