Craig DeForest

Lead Manager, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Craig has extensive experience working in higher education and has spent much of his career partnering with faculty to create experiences that align with their course learning goals. Before coming to CIEE he worked as the Program Manager of Service-Learning at the University of Southern Maine, an experience which prepared him well for partnering with faculty on short-term study programs. Craig holds a B.A. in Public Administration from the University of Maine where he led an Alternative Break short-term service-learning trip to Peru focused on jungle conservation.

Jenna Garchar

Lead Manager, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Jenna brings a background in both studying and teaching abroad to the Faculty Led and Custom Programs team. She is a CIEE alum and studied abroad with CIEE in Dakar, Senegal on the Language and Culture program. Jenna’s previous role at CIEE was as TEFL Program Coordinator. She has taught English in Korea and currently teaches English part-time at Portland Adult Education. Jenna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies-Africa and French and a certificate from the Global Leadership Center from Ohio University.

Brianna Dostie

Brianna’s interest and personal experience in international education began when she spent a year at Concordia University in Montreal. She also spent six months at the University of Hawaii Hilo through National Student Exchange before graduating from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Fine Art and Minors in Marketing and Art History. Brianna is active in the Portland, Maine community and currently sits on the Programming Committee of the World Affairs Council of Maine, and on the board of International Childhood Enrichment Programs.

Hope Hampton

Manager, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Hope’s first foray into the world of international exchange began with a short-term service learning program in Morocco. After that, she was hooked and proceeded to study abroad in Rabat and Amman during her junior year at American University, from which she obtained a B.A. in International Studies and Arabic Language. After graduating, Hope worked on a luxury train in Alaska, studied Arabic in Damascus, cycled across France, and worked at a remote seaside lodge in New Zealand. In turn, she brings extensive international experience to the team. Hope was previously employed as a Study Abroad Advisor at CIEE for semester programs in Western Europe before joining the Faculty-Led & Custom Programs department.

Katya Neff

Manager, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Katya joined CIEE’s customer service team in 2008, and moved to Enterprise Foundations in 2011, to help in the administration, sales, operations, and marketing of 10 scholarship programs on behalf of three private foundations. She previously was a travel consultant and sales agent in Belarus and New York City. A true global citizen, Katya was born in Russia, grew up in Belarus, and first came to the United States with CIEE’s Work and Travel USA program in 2004.

Melissa Sandoval

Manager, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Melissa has extensive experience and interest in international education and student affairs. Before joining CIEE, she worked as an international education counselor at Global Connection in Cali, Colombia, and served as coordinator of campus programs in the department of student life at her alma mater, the University of Vermont. During her academic studies, Melissa traveled to Chile to study globalization and economic development; to Oaxaca, Mexico, for a short-term service-learning program; and to the Dominican Republic for a short-term program about Caribbean music.

Eric Sprague

Program Administrator, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Eric brings more than two years of experience with the CIEE Study Abroad registration team, working with both Portland and overseas staff in registration and grade reporting. Before joining CIEE, Eric taught seventh-grade science and social studies in Jacksonville, N.C., and managed a surf shop during summer months in nearby Emerald Isle. He works closely with the team to manage program operations and administrative needs.

Hannah Perreault

Program Administrator, Faculty-Led & Custom Programs

Prior to coming to CIEE Hannah worked as a Conversion Administrator, Research Assistant, and Project Assistant, all of which prepared her well for her role managing the pre-departure process of Faculty-Led and Custom Programs. Hannah has a BA with Honors in English and a Minor in Philosophy from the University of New Hampshire. She works closely with the team to manage program operations and administrative needs.
