Biography
Dr. Rebecca Ann Hobbs is originally from Black River in rural Australia, which is Wulgurukaba Country, but has lived in Aotearoa since 2005. Their educational approach seeks to connect thinking heads with feeling hearts through transformative learning experiences. Hobbs is a passionate advocate for social justice, equity, and inclusion, fostering environments where diversity is valued and communities are empowered to create meaningful change. These principles are reflected in their learning journey of the Māori language, which began in 2010 and has since evolved into a deeper engagement with Indigenous ways of knowing.
