CIEE announces the three student teams selected as finalists in the 2025 CIEE UNHCR Student Challenge.

We are pleased to share the April 2025 update on the progress being made at the four Pledge to Lead Change in Study Abroad Partner Schools – Arizona State University, Borough of Manhattan Community College, Northeastern University, and University of California San Diego.

Ellen Rikhof, a high school student from West Seattle, participated in CIEE’s Ocean Conservation & Sustainability program in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2023. Felikss’ journey through the BridgeUSA program exemplifies the power of international exchange in fostering innovation, cultural understanding, and professional growth. In recognition of what would have been Congressman John Lewis’ 85th birthday this year, the John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation will sponsor three students to join the 2025 Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Interns, a cohort of high-achieving American students who will participate in an eight-week international internship program in Dublin, Ireland.
