Hi everyone! My name is Angelina, and I am so excited to share with you all, my journey studying abroad in Mohammedia, Morocco with CIEE! I chose to study Leadership and Service in Youth Development in Morocco, not only because of my passion for social work and building my leadership skills, but also to indulge in a culture that is near and dear to my heart, yet foreign to me. While I was growing up, my grandma never talked about her Moroccan roots because her father who was from Morocco, unfortunately passed away very young, and it was always an extremely sensitive topic for her. Now, she has been almost as excited as I have been, for me to embark on this adventure in a place that will feel like home. I love music, art, pastries and the outdoors, and I cannot wait to experience all of these things, while building new friendships and learning more about myself in Mohammedia, Morocco.
