Mirona Magearu-Matagne
Director, CIEE Brussels

Mirona Magearu-Matagne joined CIEE as the new Director of CIEE Brussels on December 3. Mirona comes from the Romanian Cultural Institute in Brussels, where she was a project manager for five years. Previously, she was advisor for the Ministry of European Funds and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest, as well as a lecturer in English and researcher at the University of Maryland for nearly six years.

Mirona received her Doctorate degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Maryland and two master’s degrees, one in English Literature and Language from Emporia State University in Kansas, and the other one in Communication and Public Relations from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest. Mirona holds a B.A. in Romanian-English Literature and Language from the University of Bucharest. She speaks Romanian, French, and Italian.

Nora Vizi
Director, CIEE Budapest

Nora joined CIEE as the Director in Budapest on October 15. She relocated to her home town after 16 years spent in several countries in Asia and Europe. She has been working in the field of educational management since 2010, as a member of the Board of Directors at an IB school in Indonesia and as a head teacher at a language academy in Spain. Prior to this, she has held financial and administrative managerial positions at the United Nations, Tetra Pak, and Telekom.

Nora holds an M.B.A. from Corvinus University of Budapest, a degree in Law from ELTE University and a B.A. in Finance and Accounting.
