Teach In China Program China
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio

Hi, I'm Kate! I'm a first-year teacher with CIEE, working in Shanghai. A local reporter by trade, I decided to try a new adventure after spending over a year reporting from Baltimore, Maryland. A writer and storyteller at heart, I'm excited to spend this upcoming year learning about new perspectives and stories while embarking on this challenge. I received my bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from American University in May 2017, where I also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the university's student newspaper and played for the women's Ultimate Frisbee team. In my spare time, I love staying active and recently ran my first marathon. I'm incredibly excited for all the adventures that lay ahead in the year to come, and can't wait to share my experiences.
