Chassidy Simmons received her B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature with a concentration in Spanish from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and her M.A. in Hispanic Studies from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She studied in Madrid, Spain, as an undergraduate student and worked as an English Lectora at the Universidad de Castilla La-Mancha in Cuenca, Spain, post graduation. Currently, Chassidy is a PhD student at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her interests include travel, gastronomy, Afro-Caribbean literature, music, art and film.
