International Stories of Love: Nicholas Mider

It was on a CIEE Study Abroad program in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam that Nicholas Mider found love. Though he knew of Morgan Walker from their studies at the University of Richmond, the two did not officially meet until they both went abroad with CIEE in 2008. Sharing a small house with 19 other American students, they spent a lot of time together and quickly got to know one another.
They went on adventurous dates exploring Vietnam, facing transporation challenges, and navigating the local language together. One date in particular led them closer together than ever. Read their story in The New York Times.
In 2016, Nicholas and Morgan returned back to Vietnam, where they fell in love during their CIEE Study Abroad program, and have been living and working there since.
