Title: An American in London

Name: Cara A. Lee

From: Long Island, N.Y. (Long Beach, to be specific)

Age: 20

University: Fairfield University, Connecticut

This summer I’m not just stepping out of my comfort zone -I’m taking a 3,500 mile hop skip and a jump away from it by crossing the Atlantic ocean and interning in London, England through the CIEE Global Internship program.

Being the overly organized person I am, I made myself a “10”item London to-do list before leaving the States and this wonderful little list is now going to become the basis for my London blog. A blog currently and tentatively titled “An American in London” though “Cara Lee and the Adventure in London” as well as “The Mysterious Case of the American in London” are both under consideration. If you get these references, you’re fantastic. If you get that one, I have a Chula Warship to sell you.

While a lot of this blog will be dedicated to the completion of the list, I’ll also be including London survival tips, what it’s like when I walk around London in an American flag dress on 4th of July and how my internship goes. If you’re going on this journey yourself: good luck. If you’re just here to see if I survive- I’m wondering the same and welcome hearing your observations on my life. Why not.
