Employer Knowledge Base
We pride ourselves on the level of service we provide to employers and students before, during, and after the CIEE Work & Travel USA program. This includes providing you and your staff with resources and information on the essentials, including health insurance, SEVIS registration and student preparation. If you cannot find the information you are looking for here, please contact CIEE.

Offering a Position

If you have identified an applicant you want to hire, provide them with the following employment information to add to their application in CIEE’s applicant portal, Beacon:

  • Company name
  • Physical address
  • Your contact information: your first and last name,  your job title, email and phone number
  • Job title
  • Wage per hour
  • Job start date and end date and minimum average hours per week (e.g. 35 hours)
  • Whether housing is provided and a description of the housing
  • Housing physical address (if provided)

The applicant will submit this information to their CIEE international representative as part of their program application.  You can then expect to hear from CIEE to vet the job offer, which will include a request for copies of your worker compensation insurance and a business license. Upon CIEE approval, you will be invited to sign the Placement Agreement via DocuSign.
