Edward's Story

12 Month Training in Cancer Research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts

Edward became inspired, made wonderful friendships, and contributed to critical research on his training program in Boston.

Together with my new friend Puru and with Sidney Farber and Jimmy, at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world-renowned cancer treatment and research center in Boston, Massachusetts, August 24, 2015. Puru, my best friend in America teaches to me all the secrets of lab work and genomic instability assays. Dr. Sidney Farber, a father of modern chemotherapy and Jimmy, a young cancer patient represents the spirit of America.

This photo has a deep meaning for me as it remembers me the power of cooperation and friendship. America means democracy, respect to all people and to life, but most of all the rights and leadership, pursuit of Happiness. Together, Sidney Farber and Jimmy made Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund possible, which have transformed lives of so many people around the world. Together they have given to the cancer patients a chance to be happy and win the greatest prize “the prize of life!”
