October Parent Newsletter

Welcome to our 2nd bi-monthly pre-departure Parent Newsletter in which we will make sure all key logistical information provided to participants through their online course is also available to parents. As always, email us with your questions. 

Know Before You Go 

Your participant’s pre-departure orientation course will be available about two months prior to departure. Please encourage your participant to check their email regularly. They will be notified when they can complete the course.

To Do

Last time we introduced you to your participant’s CIEE My Account, which contains lots of useful information. There, you will find a “To Do” list with items your participant needs to complete.  By paying the deposit for your participant, new tasks became available. Some of these tasks require a parent or guardian signature so help your participant to complete these tasks soon.

Host Family Information 

Host family placement information will be sent to participants and parents/guardians as soon as placements are finalized. Placements are usually finalized the month of departure.

We are looking for bloggers!

Is your participant a talented writer, photographer or videographer? If so, we would love to have them blog for us while they are on program! Please encourage your participant to complete the Blog Internship task.

Health and Safety

iNext Travel Insurance:You student will be enrolled in iNext Insurance about six weeks prior to departure. There is an iNext Insurance reading in your participant’s CIEE My Account, that includes a full description of this coverage (included in the program tuition for all participants with a home address in the US).
