Introduction Message:

I love doing things with my friends they say that I am helpful, reliable, lovable, funny, uncomplicated. My favourite sports are weight lifting, tennis, volleyball. In free time, I meet my friends or spend time with my family. I spent my school internship at a lawyer, so I'm starting to think about my future might look like. I would like to spend valuable time with my host family and make new friends. I'm looking forward to talk about lots of things from Germany and making lots of new memories.

Host Family Letter:

Dear future host family, 

At first, I wanted to thank you for thinking about choosing me to be a part of your family. My family includes my mom, my dad, my brother, my little sister and our dog. We have a fantastic relationship and always have fun together. As a family, we often go hiking or just play some board games. 

My family is very important for me and they support me in everything I do. I´m currently in the 10th grade at a “private gymnasium”. My school is a “boarding school” with many students from all over the world.  At school my favorite subjekts are English and Sport. In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family. With my grandma and my grandpa we discover Germany and Europe with our motorhome. 

I like to go to our gym and I enjoy playing tennis. I currently working two times a week in a hotel as a waitress. I always wanted to do an exchange year because I think it is one of the best experiences that you can have . I would descripe myself as a a very helpful, understanding, reliable and kindly person.I want to experience the life in the USA and how the culture is there. Also, a big reason why I want to make this exchange year is to improve my English skills. I would like to make a lot of new friends and like to be a part of your family.I´m sure we will have a great time together.

Parent Letter:

Dear host family,

We would like to thank you very much for hosting our daughter.  Samira is a responsible, warm hearted, friendly, creative, uncomplicated and honest teenager. She has no problems making friends or integrating into a new group. 

She spends a lot of time with her friends, cycling, going to the gym. Samira takes part in our family life with all her heart. In her free time  Samira is always outside, meets friends, walk our dog or plays soccer. If you need Samira as a friend, she is there immediately. Samira and her siblings have a very good relationship. Difficult situations in the family are discussed and solved together. 

Samira will leave a big gap here for her time in America and we will miss her incredibly much. We are very happy that you are helping our daughter realize her dream of living in America. It is a great opportunity for her. Now something about Samiras family: her father is self-employed as a fitness clerk and works in his own gym. Her mother works at the reception in a hotel, but she is currently on parental leave and looks after the little ones in the family. We do a lot of things together. We are passionate campers and travel around the world in our motorhome.
