French Language & Culture in Toulouse
School Trip Abroad with CIEE
Make Toulouse your classroom as you live French, not just learn it!
Spend an unforgettable week exploring the sun-soaked Ville Rose alongside your students as they sharpen their language skills through daily conversations in real-world settings. Dive deep into the language, local traditions, and everyday life through pétanque with experienced local players, visits to local schools, and explorations of the lively Victor Hugo Market. Fuel your adventures with local specialties like the sweet chocolatine, a buttery pastry filled with dark chocolate, and the irresistible cassoulet with duck, sausage, and white beans.
After your time in Toulouse, you and your students will return home with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation of French culture.
The Destination
Welcome to Toulouse—la ville rose (the pink city)—famous for its warm, rose-colored brick architecture and lively culture.
Situated on the banks of the Garonne River and crossed by the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Toulouse invites you and your students to explore cafés, open-air concerts, and ever-changing street art. Here, you’ll take in all the culture Toulouse has to offer; enjoy local specialties like cassoulet and chocolatine, browse independent shops, and visit the liveliest square in town—Place du Capitole.
