2025 CIEE Global Internship Industry Partner Awards

This week, the 13th Annual CIEE Global Internship Conference in Singapore hosted the second annual CIEE Global Internship Industry Partner Awards, honoring host companies, alumni, and college partners who go above and beyond to support student interns and champion global experiential learning.  

These awards recognize exceptional leadership, mentorship, and innovation in the field of international internships. 
 
This year, dozens of CIEE internship alumni and staff submitted nominations, leading to 126 total nominations across six categories: 

Host Company Award 

This award recognizes host companies that partner with CIEE's College Global Internship programs to provide impactful, skills-based experiences and exceptional mentorship. 
 
Winners: 

Global Green Connect 
Christina Lee, Founder & CEO – Singapore 
Sustainability at the heart – Founded in 2013, Global Green Connect (GGC) is an integrated sustainability solutions provider offering consulting, education, and social enterprise services. Their holistic approach helps businesses transform operations and equips professionals with essential sustainability skills, all in pursuit of a low-carbon, sustainable future.  

2025 CIEE Industry Partner Awards

Peace Boat 
Louise Soerensen, International Coordinator – Tokyo 
Peace Boat is a Japan-based NGO promoting peace, human rights, and sustainability through global voyages on a passenger ship. Founded in 1983 and holding UN ECOSOC consultative status, it combines sustainable tourism, education, and advocacy to foster cross-cultural cooperation and local capacity-building.  

"Based in Tokyo but with a truly global reach, they run international volunteer and internship programs that involve cultural exchange, language teaching, humanitarian service, and global networking," said Clara Rodes, Senior VP for Global Operations.  "Big issues, real work, global team — that’s what makes Peace Boat stand out. Interning with Peace Boat challenges students to think beyond borders — culturally, politically, and environmentally."

BridgeUSA Host Company Award 

This award honors host companies participating in BridgeUSA programs that provide interns with outstanding training, mentorship, and intercultural learning.

Alyssa Graudins, Director of Recruitment and Employment – Colorado

BridgeUSA Alumni Award 

This award recognizes a BridgeUSA alum who has gone on to make an outstanding contribution in international education, public service, or global leadership. 
 
Winner: 
Tanya Noel 
CIEE BridgeUSA Alumna – Ukraine 
Originally from Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, Tanya holds a BA in English and an MA in International Relations. She began her international education career through CIEE’s BridgeUSA programs and spent 14 years at InterExchange supporting BridgeUSA and advocacy efforts. She now serves as a Program Officer at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in New York City. 

 

College Study Abroad Alumni Award 

This award honors CIEE College Study Abroad alumni who exemplify global citizenship and are leading change in their industries or communities. 
 
Winners: 

Jocelyn Cuddy 
CIEE Alumnus – Prague 
Jocelyn Cuddy is a marketing professional passionate about global business and international education. She began her career through CIEE’s internship in Prague with SaaS company Recombee, sparking her interest in tech and global collaboration. A Fordham Gabelli School of Business graduate with a STEM-designated B.S. in Marketing, she’s worked across startups, government, and health tech. Jocelyn now leads social media, content strategy, and brand partnerships at PulsePoint. 

2025 CIEE Industry Partner Awards

Lucas Souza 
CIEE Alumnus – Lisbon 
Lucas is a recent George Washington University graduate, where he studied International Affairs and Economics. Through CIEE Lisbon, he interned at civic engagement startup MyPolis. He’s held roles across Washington, D.C., focused on U.S.-Africa diplomacy, including the Senate, State Department, and McLarty Associates. Lucas received a Boren Scholarship in 2024 for French and began language immersion in Dakar, Senegal. He speaks Portuguese, French, Spanish, and is studying Wolof and Chinese. 

 

College Partner Award 

This award celebrates higher education institutions that demonstrate exceptional commitment to student development through international internships and global engagement. 
 
Winners: 

University of Kansas 
Angela Perryman, Director of Study Abroad and Global Engagement 
KU Study Abroad & Global Engagement (SAGE) offers high-quality international study, internship, and research programs in over 70 countries, supporting around 1,300 students annually. In partnership with KU faculty and global institutions, SAGE also provides intercultural programming to help students integrate a global perspective into their studies. These efforts advance KU International Affairs’ mission by empowering Jayhawks to engage in discovery, research, and service across borders.

University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)
