My Local Coordinator
My first contact with my local coordinator was through email in May last year. She helped me even back then. We got to know each other a little bit and she answered the questions I had before my exchange year started.
We first met at the airport alongside with my host family. Since I came to the U.S., we have been meeting every month to talk. However, she also took me fishing and to a beach to look for sharks’ teeth. I really enjoyed both activities and it was a new experience for me.
What none of us expected was that I would spend a few nights at her house when I was changing host families. I really appreciate how helpful and supporting she is. We can talk pretty much about everything and I like to spend time with her. I’m looking forward to our next adventures.
I'm very grateful that I have such a good local coordinator. Whatever is happening, she's right there if I need her.
