CIEE has partnered with the Korea Foundation to offer a scholarship program for American high school and university students in South Korea. What is referred to in Korea as the Korea-US Youth Network, this program is a short-term cultural exchange for students to learn about Korean culture and customs firsthand.
The Korea Foundation is a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of Korea throughout the international community, and to enhance goodwill and friendship through the implementation of various international exchange programs. This scholarship is intended to be the first step for students to experience Korean culture, language, customs and daily life.
South Korea, one of the “economic dragons” in Asia, is a country that embraces both a modern and traditional way of life. With CIEE and the Korea Foundation you could find yourself touring the ancient Gyeongbokgung Palace, enjoying local cuisine, immersing yourself in Korean culture during a brief homestay with a Korean family, visiting the Demilitarized Zone, learning about Korean culture and language at Korea’s most prestigious university, and more!
What will your story be in South Korea?
