A Typical Day At School

In the U.S., a typical day of high school starts at about 7:30 a.m. and ends around 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Extracurricular activities are typically scheduled in the afternoons and early evenings during the school week; however, some extracurricular activities may also be scheduled on weekends.

Class schedules will vary by school. At some schools, students will attend the same classes every day. At other schools, students may take one set of classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and a different set of classes on Tuesday and Thursday.

The sample schedule below may be different from the schedule you end up with but should give you an idea of what a typical day in a U.S. high school is like.
