CIEE Students help on a Soggy Cleanup day

On a grey town clean-up day, three souls braved the low temperatures and driving rain. Sue Dawson, a foreign exchange student host, and foreign exchange students Malika, of Turkmenistan, and Yousef of Egypt, worked to clear leaves from the McCarthy Middle School tennis courts.  The students must complete community service as a way of repaying their opportunity to study for a year in the United States. Dawson said that participating in town clean-up was a way of "giving back to the community." Patch was their to urge them on (and even drag a bag of leaves to the curb), and learn a little bit more about town clean-up and the foreign exchange program.
