Life as a Chilena

I haven't blogged in about two weeks... but I am actually proud of that because I have been SO busy living my life as a Chilena. I am completely in the groove of my life here and it feels awesome. I go to the gym about three days a week to run (two street dogs didn't appreciate me running in the neighborhood... scariest moment ever), I go out with my friends every weekend, I hangout with my family; we cook, watch T.V., and visit relatives, I study for school, I go to birthday parties, the mall and the movie theater with my friends, and I feel comfortable with my family and at school. I also feel like a Chilena because I know how to get around Santiago using the buses and the metro.

School is... well school. In my next post I will describe everything about my school but for now here is a picture of the view from the court yard. The Andes never cease to take my breath away. They are just ginormous and they seem to go on forever North to South.

Well, with only a month left I have been having mixed emotions. Now that everything in Chile is going so well and now that I have made so many friends, five months doesn't seem like enough time for me. I have made some goals for my last month here and I am excited to accomplish everything that I wanted to from doing an exchange program. I will keep you guys updated in these last 35 days on school, vacations, working on my spanish, running races and anything else that pops up.

Lastly, what is a blog post without a sunset picture???

Abrazos y besos,

Olivia la Chilena
