Rabat’s Royal Golf Dar Es Salam was built in 1971 under the direction of King Hassan II, who was deeply passionate about golf. His vision turned Morocco into a recognized golf destination and helped launch the Trophée Hassan II, one of Africa’s most prestigious tournaments.
Professional Tournaments in Morocco
The Trophée Hassan II and Lalla Meryem Cup are held annually at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. These twin events showcase both men’s and women’s professional golf on an international stage, attracting European Tour and Ladies European Tour players. In 2023, the PGA Tour Champions even added the Trophy Hassan II to its calendar.
