Stats

Did You Know?
The Costa Rica Open was the country’s premier professional golf tournament, held at Cariari Country Club near San José. Established in 1979, it grew to become part of the Tour de las Américas, and later the European Challenge Tour, before its final edition in 2007.

Golf in Costa Rica
Monteverde itself does not have a full 18-hole championship course; the mountainous cloud forest terrain is better suited for hiking trails and canopy tours. However, travelers can experience golf by venturing a few hours toward the Pacific coast or Central Valley, where premier resorts and courses welcome both visitors and locals.
