A European Ladies' Championship in Milan
In 1995, the European Ladies' Team Championship, one of the premier amateur team events in women's golf, was hosted at Golf Club Milano, situated in Monza Park just outside Milan. Teams from 19 nations competed in a 36-hole stroke-play qualification followed by match-play, marking Milan's contribution to elite women's amateur golf in Europe.

Italy’s First LPGA Winner Was Milan-Born
Silvia Cavalleri, born in Milan in 1972, became the first Italian to win an LPGA Tour event when she captured the Corona Championship in 2007. Her breakthrough paved the way for increased visibility and representation of Italian women in professional golf.

Ladies European Tour Final Held Near Milan
In 1991, the final edition of the British Women's Matchplay Championship was held at Carimate Golf Club, near Milan. Italian golfer Federica Dassù, who is from Milan, claimed the title that year.
