Golf is Global in Gaborone

From Airstrip to 18 Holes
Originally a 9-hole course played around an airstrip before Botswana’s independence, the Gaborone Golf Club was later expanded into a full 18-hole parkland course in 1967, designed by Jimmy Russell and later enhanced by Greg Norman. It has since hosted major regional tournaments like the Botswana Open and the Zone 6 Internationals.
