Athens is home to Greece’s most historic 18-hole course, Glyfada Golf Club of Athens. Originally designed by Donald Harradine, the layout was later upgraded by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and hosted the 1979 World Cup of Golf, putting Athens on the international golf map.
Women in Golf
Greece has been part of the LET Access Series the official feeder tour to the Ladies European Tour. The Crete Ladies Open signaled the country’s commitment to creating opportunities for women professionals in the region.
