The El Encín Golf Hotel is Alcalá’s flagship course and one of the most acclaimed in central Spain. Designed by Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril, the 18-hole layout is known for its wide fairways, deep bunkers, and championship setup. Since its opening in 2011, it has hosted top-level tournaments—including the 2011 Madrid Masters, won by England’s Luke Donald. The course also features extensive practice facilities, a 100-bay driving range, and an on-site golf hotel, making it the premier golf destination in Alcalá.
