CIEE senior leaders were in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina earlier this week as part of our three year-long celebration of the U.S. Department of State's BridgeUSA international exchange programs that make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.

To be successful, BridgeUSA programs need champions at all levels – strong community leaders, strong business leaders, strong BridgeUSA sponsors, and dedicated, hardworking participants.  CIEE’s BridgeUSA Celebration Tour is traveling America to recognize and celebrate these champions.

Tuesday, at Sheraton Myrtle Beach, we highlighted the local champions who make BridgeUSA programs possible, alongside the international participants who bring these programs to life.

2025 CIEE BridgeUSA Champion Awards for community excellence in supporting BridgeUSA were presented to Lt. Allen Amick, Myrtle Beach Police Department; Jada Hudson, Public Policy Coordinator, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce; and Victoria Tobin, Executive Director, Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association.

A 2025 CIEE BridgeUSA award for organizational excellence in promoting BridgeUSA was presented to Lazarus Entertainment Group, a host organization that really embraces not only the strength of their own BridgeUSA program but also works to make BridgeUSA successful throughout Myrtle Beach by building residences and hosting community events at their parks. The award was accepted by Stephanie Duncan, Director of Human Resources.

Kathy Winfree, Work and Travel Community Liaison, was presented with a 2025 CIEE BridgeUSA Champion Award for individual excellence for her efforts to make BridgeUSA a success throughout the Myrtle Beach community.

Congratulations to all the 2025 BridgeUSA Champion Award winners!
