CIEE places individuals just like you in paid year-long Language and Culture Assistant positions teaching English in public schools throughout the region of Andalusia in Spain. CIEE teaching positions are in both urban and pueblo locations. Anywhere you teach in Andalusia, you will have the opportunity to participate in local customs, share your own way of life, and have new experiences that will forever change your outlook on life and expand your personal and professional horizons.
CIEE offers several program options to teach English abroad in Spain. The Teach in Spain program is a full-service program that includes temporary housing and a four-day orientation, preparing you for what to expect and what is expected of you. Teach in Spain "The Basics" program is for individuals who have lived in Spain for an extended period of time, are already comfortable in the classroom, and can solve problems independently. CIEE also offers multiple program upgrades including a pre-departure TEFL certification to prepare you for teaching in the classroom and Intensive Spanish Immersion Classes to help you refresh and practice the Spanish skills that are essential for a successful experience living and working in Spain.
