As COVID-19 continues to affect life around the globe in unprecedented ways, the safety of our participants remains our highest priority. CIEE’s Health, Safety, and Security team is actively monitoring the global health landscape, and all governmental advisories at home and abroad. CIEE will continue to directly communicate timely, relevant updates to our participants and partners as needed.

This page will be updated with relevant high-level information on all of CIEE’s programs, including college study abroad, high school study abroad, teach abroad, and J-1 exchange visitor programs.

CIEE’s best-in-class Health, Safety, and Security team is continues to monitor the local pandemic conditions at all our sites, we are actively practicing “COVID smart” behaviors to ensure the safety of students, staff and the communities in which they operate.

And while widespread vaccination appears to be in the not-too-distant future, we foresee the Covid Code of Conduct to be a part of onsite life for many more months to come. We invite everyone

All programs will have some modifications for academic year 2020-2021. Please review CIEE’s global Covid-19 health and safety guidelines in practice for students and advisors and individual program modifications can be found on all program pages.

Spring 2021
We are operating 27 study abroad programs in 13 countries including Open Campus Block Programs.

From Sustainability + the Environment in Costa Rica to the ever-popular Arts + Sciences in South Korea, students can find a program to match their educational needs and goals. Every program offers opportunities to learn something new, somewhere new. Details can be found at: ciee.org/spring2021

Summer 2021

It is advised students check the status of study abroad for each term with their institution as policies vary by institution.
