I grew up in Austin, Texas, with the exception of first grade, when I lived in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico with my family. I am currently a third year student of International Relations at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. I am interested in geography, history (primarily natural, Latin American, and British Empire), soccer, hiking, and reading. I chose to spend a semester in Valparaíso with the main intentions of improving my Spanish and gaining prolonged experience outside the U.S. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and hope to share some of the many highlights through this blog.
