Salut à tous et à toutes! My name is Anne Jiang and I'm a California native spending a gap year studying Arabic in Rabat, Morocco before attending Wellesley College in 2019. Raised by hardworking Chinese immigrants, I learned the importance of intercultural conversations at a young age. I am passionate about international relations, Middle Eastern conflict resolution in particular, and even pursued a semester of intensive specialized study at the School For Ethics and Global Leadership. I chose to spend my year in Rabat because I believe that learning Arabic will open my world to stories of those conflicts told by the people living them everyday. I'm an aspiring polyglot, an zealous debater, and an ardent vocalist certified in classical voice. In my spare time, I love to sing, play vinyl records, knit, read, and journal about my unique experiences.
