1-Year Graduate USA Visa Program
Your Future Starts Here
The 1-Year Graduate USA Visa Program is designed for Irish passport holders who currently attend or recently graduated from an Irish college. This is your chance to intern in the U.S. for up to 12 months! The best part? You do not need a pre-arranged internship to travel. Get up to 90 days after you arrive in the U.S. to find your internship in any of the 50 states.
How it Works
Once you are ready to apply, contact USIT – your CIEE International Representative – for application materials. The next steps are easy:
- Review USIT’s application procedures.
- Complete all forms and upload all required documents.
- All application materials will be reviewed at CIEE headquarters.
If your application and training plan are approved, then you will receive Form DS-2019—a “Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor Status.” Next, you will schedule a J-1 visa interview at your local U.S. embassy or consulate. Due to our rigorous application process, careful vetting, and thorough preparation, most applicants are granted visas. Then travel to America to jump-start your career!
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 1-Year Graduate USA Visa Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold an Irish passport
- Be a full-time college student or within one year of graduation from an Irish college or university
