Different Doesn't Mean Wrong

Many things have been different here in the U.S since I came, but especially the school. Some things have been hard to adjust, and then there's other things I love about the school here. I know that every school system is very different from each country, but a thing I know a lot of countries don't have, is the sport and the school conected. That's a thing I love here. It's a school spirit on a whole new level, since the school is one team, and a team support each other. ​The Friday-games is one of my favortie sport events. Usually there's a theme for the days game, so everyone dress up, and are ready to cheer later on the day. The games is also a good oppotunity to meet new people, and talk with the ones you don't get to talk. with during school. The Friday-games is the place where you hang out with your friends, friends you don't know and get to be a part of a school.                                                           A thing that has been hard to adjust is not having one class, but seven. Back in Denmark, I've only had one class my whole life, from I was six years old till this summer, which means it has been ten years with the same people. Here, as you may know, you have a different class for each subject, and for that reason you don't have a lot time with the single classes, as you only have about one hour together. On the other hand, you get to know a lot of different people, and that way can increase the amount of friendships.                                                                                                                                                 ​                                                                        ​​                                                                        The school here is filled with options to socialise​ and try new things. There's numerous​ sports to do, clubs to be a member of, games to watch and ofcourse; the life of a real american high school student. I love every moment I get to experience and to learn another way of living. The world is so much more than your home country, and that's a thing we often forget. Go live and learn.
