8:00am: Start your day  at a local cafe for the best cappuccino and croissant you’ve ever had!

9:00am: Arrive at your local school to observe and teach ESL lessons. You’ll be teaching and observing about 2 hours per day, so during this time you may have a prep period, or you’ll be working with Italian students eager to learn!

1:00pm: Enjoy a bowl of fresh pasta or pizza with your classmates.

2:00pm: Get out your notebooks! Travel to the CIEE Rome classroom for ESL instruction by an experienced mentor teacher. During this time, you’ll discuss what went well in the morning, what you are preparing for the next day, and have intercultural training for success in an Italian classroom.

6:00pm: Work is done for the day! Enjoy a nice stroll around the beautiful streets of Rome, or sit back at an outdoor café and people watch with a gelato in hand.

9:00pm: Dinner! (Italians typically eat dinner a little later) Enjoy fresh bread, pasta, prosciutto and melon, or some of the best wine in the world -- and don’t forget the tiramisu!
